A new tribe, two new genera and three new species of Cypridopsinae (Crustacea, Ostracoda, Cyprididae) from Brazil

We describe one new tribe, two genera and three species of the subfamily Cypridopsinae Kaufmann, 1900 from Brazilian floodplains. Brasilodopsis gen. nov. belongs in nominal tribe Cypridopsini, both this genus were found sexual asexual populations. baiabonita et sp. has a wide distribution was four major amazonica recorded only Amazon floodplain. subtriangular shape lateral view, whereas is more elongated rounded dorsal margins valves, as well pronounced external valve ornamentation, consisting rimmed pores shallow pits. Paranadopsis reducta populations Upper Paraná River floodplain differs other carapace, an A1 with strongly reduced chaetotaxy (hence specific name) total absence caudal rami females. Because these strong reductions limb morphology, Paranadopsini trib. created within for intriguing species.
